My point is this...

Let me ask you a question: do you understand what is at stake in this election? Here are a few things that you need to check out for yourself.

Several of the candidates talk about having the Federal government take care of our health through various means. Before you go charging off saying "yeah, that's for me," I can give you something to really think about when it comes to placing health care in the hands of the Federal government. Check out the VA system. And don't accept their propaganda for "the tour" -- start the tour by talking to the veterans who have had to endure this system. Folks, it is supposed to be the best, according to the government propaganda!! But, it has taken them over 20 years to finally help me with my chronic pain. And, you want the government to run health care!? Think again!

Then comes the really fun subject for me -- taxes. I would go into a laughing fit when I hear so many Democrats talk about taxing the rich and not the poor and middle class, if the results of those politicos' actions were not so damaging to the very groups they claim to be protecting.

Folks, WAKE UP!

The Democrats, as well as Republicans, need the rich to pay their tabs for their many election runs. Additionally, many in both parties are rich themselves with rich friends and family. Think about this a moment, please! Do you really believe that those politicians from either party are going to injure or harm in any way at all their rich friends, family, supporters, and political neighbors from both parties? Do you really? Because if you do, I have some ocean front property in New Mexico I would love to sell you at a good price.

Now, for the Black community, you have supported the Democrats for how many years now, and is your lot in life any better? I don't think so. You still have to go to the "Master," Uncle Sam, for money, housing, food, etc. Think about the kids who are growing up in the poverty leveled on you by the very party that declares it is helping you. Not many years ago, a lady, who I believe lived in New York City, scrimped and saved so that her daughter would have the money to go to college and not have to endure the welfare slavery the mother was then enduring. Once the Feds (the modern Slave Master) found out, they came down on that poor woman like a ton of homesick bricks. She apparently used her welfare money for something other than living in poverty! Needless to say, she learned her lesson about being "uppity" with the Master.

The Black community has really been ruined by the very people who smile at them and promise to give them a helping hand through welfare. The community is told that welfare will help them to rise above poverty and to make a better life for themselves. Why hasn't this happened?

Asks the Democrats and they will tell you that it is the Republicans who hate the poor and middle class of this nation. That the tax cuts the Republicans passed benefitted the rich only. Well, folks, I don't need someone to tell me that a septic tank when opened will stink. I don't need a brick to fall on me to help me to understand that someone has been lying to someone. I think anyone with a modicum of intelligence can figure this one out.

Then there are those who want the people to be completely defenseless. To that end, there are Democrats and some Republican politicians, political appointees, and hired guns in the many Federal agencies, who labor tirelessly at trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution, which gives the people the right to keep and bear arms, a right that the Amendment also says shall not be infringed. Let me give you a real life example of the two.

In my State, people are not only permitted to keep and bear arms, but they can bear those arms openly. It is not unusual to see someone walking through town with a firearm of one sort or another. Moreover, my State requires the Sheriffs' departments of the various counties to issue a concealed carry license to all citizens who apply and do not have a criminal record. They do conduct a background check with the FBI.

Some time back, about 2 to 3 years ago, or maybe a bit longer, some gangs did try to move into our city. What they didn't know was that in this area, in this State actually, gangs don't have much success. The gangs that tried it here in my town quickly learned that here people are not only armed, but they will defend themselves. Wasn't long before they left.

Now, in the major cities, people live in fear of gangs, drive-by shootings, burglaries, assaults, and so much more crime. And those people, the good citizens who are living in fear can't even shoot back because the "know-it-all" politicians and activists (like the ACLU) forbid or work to forbid private ownership of firearms. You city dwellers have to depend upon the police. Go ahead, when the bad guys are breaking into your house, call the cops -- dial that 911 number. The 911 operator will at least hear your last words, or screams.

And yet, every year and every election, the people vote for the very persons who are keeping them as sheep -- shorn and penned up in areas no better than ghettos, like the one in Warsaw, Poland, when the Jews were herded like sheep into an area that became the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. The Jews didn't have any firearms then, either. I really wonder what would have happened if the Jews back then had had access to firearms as Americans have had over the past decades.

I doubt that their Nazi bullies would have found life relaxing being constantly under the threat of death from a Jewish resistance fighter. In the end, many of the Jews may not have survived, but they would have died as free men and not slaves. If the difference is lost on you, if you can't understand why dying free is better than living as a slave, then you are reading the wrong blog site -- go find one that promises rose-colored glasses, cotton candy that is non-fattening and won't mess up your diabetes, and one that tickles your ears.

People -- my fellow Americans, we are supposed to run the show. Recall what Lincoln once stated, a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. WE, THE PEOPLE, HAVE FAILED!! We have let the inmates run the asylum, as it were. Look, we elect people to represent us. We are then supposed to keep a consistent and constant eye on them and our ears open to their rhetoric to be certain that they are, in fact, representing us and serving us, not passing laws that injure our freedoms, rights, and very existence.

More soon in a following posting.
